Real butter in Argentina?

Hey everyone,
Quick question: has anyone figured out the butter situation here?
Most brands I’ve bought don’t quite taste like actual butter. They melt in a weird oily way, and some even seem whipped or processed. My cuñado (a former dairy farmer from Patagonia!) told me the only way to get “real” butter is to make it yourself. So far, La Serenísima is the one that comes closest to a true butter flavor, but I’m still not convinced it’s the real deal.

Am I missing something? Any brands, stores, or even homemade tips worth trying?
Thanks in advance!

Hi! I’m a chef, so I’m always on the hunt for the best butter too. I’ve had the same issue! I now go to Jumbo and buy Finlandia manteca extra, it’s imported and pricey, but it actually tastes like real butter.

Totally get you! I went through the same butter crisis when I moved here! La Serenísima is OK-ish, but if you want real butter flavor, try to find fresh ‘manteca artesanal’, some cheese shops have it!

Butter here can be very bad quality. Try Presidente brand which also has good quality butter and can be found in larger supermarkets.

The butter here is terrible! The milk too for the most part. Amazing in a country with so many natural pastures and good cows the milk here is so terrible.
