or my case, they want me to deposit into Western Union/etc. to get into my BNA account. i am going to fight this, because i can't just sh*t tons of money when i set-up a Trust high-yield savings account/HYSA for Argentina, with a fixed automatic deposit into my Checking account, but for now they want me to deposit 12 months of this to get 12 months of Temporary Residency (which comes with my first DNI number). this would be 1,567,000 x 12 = 18,804,000 Pesos for a year, or at:

We don't do well together full time. It is what it is. We haven't bothered with a divorce because neither of us is looking to marry someone else.
She isn't hot on moving here mostly because of the child. Her mother dragged her from Russia to the US, and she doesn't want to do that to her daughter.

My parents were the same way for many years. They didn’t bother to get a divorce until mom needed to get remarried. Tough situation. Is the daughter open to moving? How old is she? This is like a soap opera. Keep us posted how it goes Tuesday!

BA can be a culture shock for many. I have several friends that could not adjust to many things here. The noise, not being able to find all the things they normally do. One hated the supermarkets here. The red tape and 2 just moved back to the USA as they found it too expensive in BA for the lifestyle they prefer. They dine out a lot.

I would not dream of making a move with kids here. But if you are married I don’t see any other solution. I thought you said you had successful retirement Dave. Wouldn’t you rather be living with your spouse in the USA? It sounds like you are on a budget here. Was the USA

I'm on a budget anywhere. I'm a tightwad on a lot of things. I skip eating out so I can take $5000 worth of cruises next Nov/Dec. I'll be spending a week in Florida with them beforehand. Me and Margarita have spent as much time apart as together over the last 10 years...we do better apart. lol I don't expect anyone else to understand, but it works for us. My guess is she will spend a week here, then come back in a month or two for 2 weeks. And I'll go there in November, and who knows when else.

Sophia is just 3 1/2. Her mother's reluctance stems from her trauma being brought to the US from Russia when she was young. I understand because my parents drug me from California to Puerto Rico when I was 10.

That's funny! My sister did the same. Husband #2 became Husband #4.
So she's been married more times than I have, but to the same number of people 😔

Is this kind of thing popular in America??? This kind of thing NEVER happen in Argentina. We already learn lesson first time!

While these are extreme cases, yes...being a non-Catholic country, where no-fault divorce has been the law in most states for 50 years has lead to huge divorce rates.

Oh dear God I can't imagine a worse fate than making a mistake and marrying the same person twice! Or even 3 times. Never heard of something like this!
