I thought Milei was gay wasn't he? Didn't he do tantric stuff with other males? That whole thing with Fatima seemed to be fake. It sounded like she was trying too hard.

He did admit to doing some tantric stuff but I don't remember reading that he was gay. Not that there is anything wrong with that. But if he paid some actress to be his pretend girlfriend maybe he is.I thought Milei was gay wasn't he? Didn't he do tantric stuff with other males?
The corruption just keeps stacking up it seems like. It's no wonder the country is considered more corrupt with Milei. Get this. Someone in the Milei administration was betting on Polymarket on the inflation index. They got busted and instead of announcing who got caught Argentina blocked access to Polymarket throughout the entire country of Argentina!
They ordered Google and Apple to remove their apps from the market. Polymarket was reported for operating without authorization.
Argentina becomes the first Latin American country to restrict access to it. What a joke.
Wally you sound like you have been in Argentina for a while. Is there any hope? Or is this a lost cause? Any hope for a turn around in Argentina?Saw it this morning. No longer downloadable on the App Store. That is the problem with this administration. Same as past. When the President is embroiled with scams and deceit and openly cheating it sends a signal to everyone else in the government that they can do the same thing. He should have fired his sister sending a signal after Libra but he didn't and then she got caught red handed in the social grift.
You have to lead by example. That's the problem in Argentina. There is no penalty for grifting so others do it too.
This tells you what a lost cause it is for corruption. Instead of the government just coming out and threatening serious consequences to government officials if they get caught they know that there is no hope of containing corruption. That shows you what the situation is like there. To shut it down to the entire country. They ordered Google and Apple to remove their apps from the market. Polymarket was reported for operating without authorization.

Great points. The thing is that this is how comfortable these people are that there will be no consequences. Just imagine how much other grift there is that isn't yet uncovered. They aren't scared.Wally you sound like you have been in Argentina
At least the socialists sound like they stuck with cash. Milei's friends all seem stupid. They never heard of a burner phone? They are all using their normal phones. That guy that got busted, why wouldn't he have thrown his phone away? Leaving audio messages too. Jesus.

This is exactly correct. You can't stop corruption in Argentina. It's impossible. I have joked that most of us won't see systemic change in Argentina in our lifetimes. It's sad but probably true. Milei realizes that too. He was supposed to be the catalyst for change and putting Argentina on the right track. Many things he is doing are correct but you have to balance it. It's like walking on a tightrope. This tells you what a lost cause it is for corruption. Could not agree more Mike, for both of them. No upside to that approach at allHis rhetoric is too strong many times. You will have a situation even under perfect conditions you will get a socialist country like Argentina have 50% that hate you. He just antagonizes the other side. Trump has done that many times too. Just think that approach is a mistake.
At least if he fired his sister after Libragate that would have sent a signal he won't tolerate it. I just don't understand it. He could have written his own ticket after this. Untold fame and fortunes. Speaking tours. It seems like he threw away quite a bit for a few million. Isn't someone besides his sister giving him guidance and advice???Could not agree more Mike, for both of them. No upside to that approach at all
Why does he do this? He even did it at the "Argentina Week" investor talk on Wall Street. Why the hell would companies invest when you blast the richest guy in Argentina. Just seems like terrible place to do that sort of theatre. It seems like the guy has no judgement. I like a lot of his ideas but he doesn't seem like a Libertarian and he seems more and more unhinged. This is exactly correct. You can't stop corruption in Argentina. It's impossible. It's true if the leader is perceived as a crook and doing shady things than underlings will probably try to take a slice too. And that is more or less what we are seeing play out.
