When the President is embroiled with scams and deceit and openly cheating it sends a signal to everyone else in the government that they can do the same thing. This is exactly correct. You can't stop corruption in Argentina. It's impossible. I have joked that most of us won't see systemic change in Argentina in our lifetimes. It's sad but probably true. Milei realizes that too. He was supposed to be the catalyst for change and putting Argentina on the right track. Many things he is doing are correct but you have to balance it. It's like walking on a tightrope.

His rhetoric is too strong many times. You will have a situation even under perfect conditions you will get a socialist country like Argentina have 50% that hate you. He just antagonizes the other side. Trump has done that many times too. Just think that approach is a mistake.

At least if he fired his sister after Libragate that would have sent a signal he won't tolerate it. I just don't understand it. He could have written his own ticket after this. Why does he do this? He even did it at the "Argentina Week" investor talk on Wall Street. Why the hell would companies invest when you blast the richest guy in Argentina. Just seems like terrible place to do that sort of theatre. It seems like the guy has no judgement. I like a lot of his ideas but he doesn't seem like a Libertarian and he seems more and more unhinged.
