Expat Life: Local Discoveries, Global Connections

Wow Buenos Aires has gone downhill in the past few years! Sad!

billy goat i totally agree with you. i came back to usa yesterday. i saw none of what he is describing. prices aren’t higher than i pay in the usa. the wine is great and way cheaper. i agree they keep the streets clean in palermo, lots of new construction, the normal of begging, restaurants pretty full and no homeless sleeping at night. palacio de patos could use some paint on the outside upper floors. the people as always were great. its no different than the usa. we are losings jobs to AI. debt is high wages are up. i am expecting a 2008 repeat as dodd/frank was removed. world traveler you need to take some happy pills.
BA has improved a lot over the past years. Of course most tourists and expats are only around Recoleta, Palermo, Belgrano, Puerto Madero and a few others. In the Conurbano things are still sketchy.
