What are the dream companies to work for in Argentina?

The position in which I have familiarity are Product Owner (Scrum Master) - Just below project manager in the tech space. There are a wide array of monthly salaries in the position. Very common to have 2 people working the same job and one being payed double than the other, not just because somebody is better, At telecom, salaries were between 2.700.000 and 5.5000.000 Pesos, but 4.000.000 seems like an average for the last year. Telecom/Personal Pay Wallet also kept up with inflation with monthly adjustments during the end of Mercado Libre seems similar but maybe a little higher salary. Many of her friends seem to not like ML, for reasons of bad vibes and taking advantage of the fact that, "well you are lucky to work at ML" and treat people poorly, which see said stifled innovation a bit. She might work there one day, who knows. Getting paid in USD is very rare.

I've seen her move to 3 companies in the last 1.5 years. It's been a pattern of she asks for a raise, management drags their feet. She gets a new a better job. Company then matches the offer of the new place, which is more than she requested for a raise, EVERY TIME. Every company regrets letting her go, asks if she wants to come back. The companies can pay but don't. Her talented Worker friends are also willing to offer a work for ARG discount but it seems companies are stepping over a silver dollar because they see a shiny quarter. She now works for OXXO, gets ARG holidays Bonuses and an excellent USD excellent salary. I'm proud.

This kind of thing is common. @Good Stuff how do you see things on the ground? Objective view. Is Milei successful? I couldn't believe the prices! It went from too cheap in November 2023 to crazy expensive. I paid almost $9 for a single choripan in Soho. Crazy.

Last week I spent a week with my girl in Manhattan, (We are spending the Summer in the USA) and we had no sticker shock on food prices, which I usually do when I am there. One can dine out cheap in NYC, but not in BA. It was nice to get her a shock.

I first came in 2022 on a University study abroad program and it was cheap and missed out on the 2023 Bonanza. Traveling around back then, it truly shook me to really understand that the rampant Inflation was beneficial to me as a USD earner and a disaster to my friends who make a wide array of salaries. So with my limited experience it's hard to say what is successful and not successful for this country.

It's not the price of things in BA that bothers me so much so the price in comparison to salaries, as services(Human Labor) is cheap in comparison. Uber/taxi is 6X more in Manhattan. Milei has lots of leeway and support because the alternative is so bad. Mortgages for locals returning is a good thing. Deregulation by Studzenegger seems good(great tweets to read, highly recommend.) Milei is not unsuccessful but it is too early to tell if he will be successful. When he used the word homosexual and pedophile in the same paragraph, he really screwed up and deserved a swift kick to the groin, then cryptoscam. I hope he keeps his mouth shut because he still has support and Argentina needs a mad man to make changes. Many of my friends are surprised he is doing more or less well, considering the situation. What do you think?

Thanks for the kind words @FuturoBA! I always try to help someone when people reach out to me. I get so many so I can't help them all but I've been able to successfully help many, many people's friend on this forum. We don't hire people that don't have a DNI and not fully bi-lingual. Most of the jobs that we hire for and also refer to friend's companies they need to have a DNI and be bi-lingual. Hey, I hope they make a statue of me someday in Buenos Aires. That would be awesome. LOL. I can say, I have done a lot for this country and especially in Buenos Aires. I love this country so much and love, love, love Buenos Aires.

I totally agree about it being sad about the # of girls having to go into escorting. I personally know 4 friends that recently confided they have to go into that. If you go on websites like ArgentinaXP(dot) com you will see an explosion in girls. That is the leading indicator to me how bad things get. It's exploding upwards. It's sad as my friends are educated, smart, intelligent and some are mothers and I feel terrible. I always try to find these girls normal jobs. But even in normal jobs the salaries are very low and Argentina is expensive now.

I hope we can help your friend @FuturoBA with a part-time job. We don't need anyone full time but my assistant met with her on Friday to interview her to see if she wanted some hours part-time. We will also see if any of my friends need her. But we are flooded each day with 5-10 CV's a day.
That's saddening to hear there's so much truth to the number of girls doing it as a leading indicator of how bad things are. People can talk about the poverty numbers going up or down and salaries rising, but boots on the ground what does it mean if all these young, educated girls are resorting to escorting?

As far as my friend, I know she's more than grateful as am I, for any and all your help. Understandable that you guys are flooded and any help is very much appreciated.

Yes boots on the ground hearing these kind of things is probably more of an indicator than the BS news or spin the media wants you to see. What good people these people are. I met several girls that were unemployed. I didn't even think they might have to resort to this. Sad.
