What a joke! Read the latest Forbes -Argentina Is The Summer’s Travel Bargain—U.S. Dollar Goes 31% Further Than Last Year

All of these media companies are lazy and no fact checking. Argentina is NOT 31% cheaper than last year. Restaurant prices at many restaurants are more expensive now in Buenos Aires than back home. My cousins came a few weeks ago and they complained it was more expensive than back home at many restaurants we went to.

Price of everything has gone up. My Ubers around town are about double of last year. It was cheap before and now it is double. Restaurant meals are insane at many places. Many bars are the same as back home now.

How can a big publication like Forbes print such garbage?
Agree. Prices have gone up so much so we are thinking of moving out of Argentina. It is difficult to have a great life here raising a family. Private schools are expensive. Healthcare costs have soared. Dining out has become a luxury. Ubers that were very cheap are too expensive now.

Forbes should be embarrassed to print something like this.

If there is a sign that Forbes Magazine is trash. Read this article in Forbes saying Argentina is 31% cheaper than last year! What a joke!

Ha. That is so funny! My American friends all left Argentina because it got too expensive. They are here in Spain with me now where life is much better. Prices are a fraction dining out vs. BA.

I have to agree with @Larry on this one! That is terrible reporting.

Using the way the magazine did their calculation, the USD would go more than 350% further compared to 2 years ago!!! What a joke indeed! Even if they didn't know about the different exchange rates and that using the official rate for comparison is not good, they should have at least take into account the inflation rate in Argentina.

Honestly there are few bargains to be had here besides rentals. You can still find some cheap Airbnb's. Strange to see a big magazine so off. I think good rental prices on short and long term rentals are the only good deal. And I think even those will go up soon because real estate prices seem like they are going straight up. I have been watching the real estate market and prices that were reasonable last year keep going higher and higher.

I looked at one pozo that they just started not long ago and it's already more than half sold and prices keep going up! If prices go up I gotta figure rentals will too!
