President Javier Milei led a new meeting with his Cabinet of ministers at the Casa Rosada. Due to the intense rain that falls on Buenos Aires and surrounding areas of the City of Buenos Aires, the start of the meeting in the Eva Perón Room was postponed for half an hour and began after 9 o'clock.

The head of state arrived in Balcarce 50 after 8:30 at the same time as his sister and current Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina.

In addition to Milei, the ministers ️Guillermo Francos (Interior); ️Diana Mondino (Chancellery); ️Mario Russo (Health); ️Sandra Pettovello (Human Capital);️ Mariano Cúneo Libarona (Justice); ️Luis Petri (Defense) and ️Luis Caputo (Economy).

Also present were the Press Secretary, Eduardo Serenellini; the presidential spokesperson, Manuel Adorni; the Secretary of Legal and Technical, Javier Herrera Bravo; the Executive Secretary of the Government of the Chief of Staff, José Rolandi and the presidential advisor, Santiago Caputo.

The Chief of Staff, Nicolás Posse, was not present (the reasons for this absence were not clarified at La Rosada), nor the person in charge of Security, Patricia Bullrich, who was returning from Rosario.

The meeting took place a day after the Government arranged for the trip of two of its ministers, Bullrich and Luis Petri (Defense), to the city of Rosario where they announced the reinforcement of security to combat the latest acts of violence, which included the death of four people, murders attributed to gangs linked to drug trafficking.

Bullrich announced last night on a television program that Milei will probably visit Rosario in two weeks to evaluate the measures that were put in place.

Presidential spokesperson Manuel Adorni said in his usual press conference that “the situation in Rosario is a recurring topic of conversation” in the ministers' meetings with the President. “We spoke and we all know that the laws prevent federal forces from acting beyond logistical, communication, and transportation issues, the limitations that you know are imposed by the Internal Security Law. Of course we are working together with the governor of Santa Fe to advance everything necessary to end this scourge,” he added.

In addition, he thanked the governor of Córdoba, Martín Llaryora, for the support expressed on the issue. “It adds to what the rest of society thinks. The fight against drug trafficking is a fight of good Argentines against those who kill for the sake of killing in what we call narcoterrorism,” he assured.

The spokesperson added that “Rosario is the most emblematic case but it is something that all of Argentina has.”

This Tuesday, in addition, the inflation rate for the month of February will be known, which according to estimates from private consulting firms and also from different government spheres, is expected to be around 15%.

Some of the ministers who make up the Cabinet will speak today at the meeting of AmCham, the United States Chamber of Commerce in Argentina. At 11:25 it will be the turn of Chancellor Diana Mondino and in the afternoon, after 3:00 p.m., the head of the Economy, Luis Caputo.
