Thank you for posting. Proof positive that no one knows which way the exchange rate will go! With Trump's comments not sure if the USA is going to support the Argentine peso or going to dump their pesos.

Great news. Seems like 1500 should be the floor. Even Caputo said that he is happy with this exchange rate. There was a run up from 1100 to 1500 and prices don't sound like they went up too much. Probably a happy medium on exchange rate. Probably just depends what Trump and Bessent want to do. Funny Uncle Wong I was going to say the same thing I can't figure out if Trump wants a strong or weak peso now that the election is over.

Its going to float between 1450 and 1550 for the next nonth or so and then crawl up to 1600

Government seems comfortable around these levels. Inflation is still at least 2% a month which may seem ok for Argentina but shocking for the rest of the world. Rate should probably continue to go up as the year goes on.

I always laugh when Argentines say inflation is contained when it is 30% a year. Yikes! Just goes to show you how bad things were before.

When you have had a few months at more than 30% a month, 30% per year is tremendous!
