( From Washington, United States ) Javier Milei arrived in Los Angeles today after 1:40 p.m. He will spend 36 hours in that United States city to give a talk on economic convergence at the global investors conference organized by the Milken Institute , meet with Elon Musk and hold a meeting with Gianni Infantino, head of FIFA.

The president was received by the consul in Los Angeles, Héctor Monacci, and then left for his hotel near Beverly Hills. There he will meet the Chief of Staff, Nicolás Posse , and the Argentine ambassador to the United States, Gerardo Werthein, who arrived earlier in California.

Milei will be the main speaker tomorrow afternoon, in a day that will also have the participation of Kristalina Georgieva - managing director of the IMF -, Chris Dodd - Joe Biden's main advisor for Latin America - and Ilan Goldfajn , president of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The next day, Tuesday, May 7, Bill Clinton will close the global conference that has a natural leaning to the Republican party.

The entourage is small . On the official plane - which made a technical stopover in Lima in the early morning - the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, and the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, traveled, in addition to the protocol, security and medical assistance officials.

Milei only plans the hearings with Musk and Infantino, while Posse and Caputo define an agenda with the important investors, bankers and CEOs who will arrive at the conference organized by the Milken Institute, a classic event of power on the West Coast.

In addition to the president and his Minister Caputo, the Milken Institute also called as panelists Khalid Al-Falih, Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia; Greg Brown, CEO of Motorola; John Fogerty Singer, former singer of Creedence Clearwater Revival; Ilan Goldfajn , head of the IDB; Jenny Johnson, CEO, Franklin Templeton; Ashton Kutcher, actor and senior partner at Sound Ventures; Theresa May, former British Prime Minister; Steven T. Mnuchin , Trump's former Treasury Secretary and Michael Wirth , CEO of Chevron, among other protagonists of the global village.

Marcelo Mindlin, president of Pampa Energía, is the only Argentine businessman invited to the global investors conference.

The Milken Institute's call to the President occurred in January, and from the Casa Rosada they were very specific when closing Milei's visit to Los Angeles. As happened in Davos , the head of state would speak alone and set his meetings outside the schedule of official activities. The organizers accepted these rules of the game, and that is why Milei will be the keynote speaker at the conference tomorrow.

The president will give a conference focused on the market economy and explain how convergence benefits countries that do not have regulations imposed by the State. In this context, Milei will argue, if Argentina wants to grow to follow in the footsteps of the United States, it has to open to the market and favor discovery processes that will accelerate its growth rate.

“I'm going to talk about growth economics, which has a concept called Convergence . That means that developing countries grow faster than developed countries, and sooner or later, they catch up. That is what is called Convergence,” Milei explained when asked in Government about her conference in Los Angeles.

And he added to his advisors: “So, when you open yourself to the Market Economy, when you open a process of freedom, the country no longer has to discover technological advances, because developed countries have already discovered them. England doubled its GDP in 100 years, and the United States, in fifty years, and China in seven. This is how convergence impacts discovery processes. And that is key for Argentina.”

The official agenda distributed by the Milken Institute: in addition to Milei, the Queen of Jordan, the owner of SpaceX, the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, and the former Real Madrid player, among other leaders of power, industry and entertainment, participate in the conference.
In addition to speaking at the global conference, the president will hold a meeting with Musk . Karina Milei and Gerardo Werthein will also be at the meeting , who made the necessary contacts to close this conclave in Los Angeles. Milei and Musk already met in Austin (Texas), and there was a lot of empathy between them.

The meeting will have an open agenda, and it is not ruled out that they will talk about artificial intelligence, and probable investments in technology and mining. Musk is the owner of a satellite communication company - which could take off in Patagonia - and Tesla, a company that manufactures electric cars and needs lithium, which is very abundant in the north of the country.

MIlei will also speak with Gianni Infantino, head of FIFA. The president is interested in the conception of football clubs as Sports Joint Stock Companies (SAD), an initiative that is part of the Government program. MIlei intends to move forward with this project, and the meeting with Infantino is important for his roadmap in Argentina.

Unlike previous tours, Milei ruled out commercial flights and traveled to the United States on the presidential plane. A security issue regarding the situation in the Middle East. The head of state will arrive in Buenos Aires on May 7 .
