The last day of March brought news for construction workers , as during this month, the UOCRA ( Construction Workers' Union of the Argentine Republic), the Argentine Chamber of Construction (CAMARCO) and the Argentine Federation of Construction Entities (FAEC) agreed on staggered and cumulative salary increases, on basic salaries , and the payment of non-remunerative sums, corresponding to the months of March, April and May.

  • A 2% increase in March 2026 , which will be applied to the basic salaries in effect as of February 28, 2026.
  • An increase of 1.9% starting in April 2026 , which will be applied to the basic salaries in effect as of March 31, 2026.
  • An increase of 1.8% starting in May 2026, which will be applied to the basic salaries in effect as of April 30, 2026.

These increases are part of the UOCRA's joint agreement with the business chambers of the activity and are applicable to all categories of the Collective Bargaining Agreement CCT No. 76/75. In turn, the payment of a monthly, non-remunerative sum is established for March, April and May.

Basic hourly wages and by zone​

April​

Following the increase implemented in March, the scheme continues in April and May with further increases. The basic hourly wages, effective April 1st, are set at the following amounts according to the region:

Zone A​

City of Buenos Aires, Province of Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Santa Fe, Mendoza, Salta, Tucumán, Chaco, Corrientes, Jujuy and Misiones

  • Specialized Officer: $6011
  • Official: $5142
  • Official Medium: $4752
  • Assistant: $4374
  • Night watchman (monthly): $794,575
Likewise, the non-remunerative monthly sums, paid bi-weekly, for April 2026, were determined as follows:

  • Specialized Officer: $99,800
  • Official: $91,000

The extraordinary non-salary sums for April and May will be paid in halves: 50% will be paid with the payment of the first fortnight of the month, and the second half with the payment of the second fortnight.


According to the joint agreement, signed on March 31, this wage agreement is valid until May 31 of this year and within the framework of this collective bargaining, the maintenance of a special commission is planned, on April 20, to monitor the economic variables and the construction sector and its socio-economic impact, and to define the adjustments starting in June 2026.
