Has Tap-to-Pay Fraud Reached Buenos Aires?

Hey everyone! So today I was watching a video and realized my debit card works with this “tap-to-pay” feature—you know, where you just tap your card instead of inserting it.

Has anyone had money suddenly disappear from their account without knowing it, because of this tap-to-pay thing? Honestly, this makes me think it’s probably the best reason to only carry your card when you actually need it.

Has anyone in BA experienced this yet? Curious to hear your stories!

I haven’t had anything happen to me, but I try to always keep my cards in a RFID-blocking wallet, just in case someone tries to scan them without touching.

Banks here usually have zero-fraud protection, so if something happens, you can report it and they reverse the charge. But yeah, it’s scary to think about.
