MUNDO LINGO

Mundo Lingo
is a series of social language exchange events that happen simultaneously in several metropolises in different countries. Mundo Lingo is considered as the largest organization of intercultural social events in the world. They take place at night (usually from 8 pm to 1 am) in bars set up for the occasion. These events are open to men and women of legal age of all nationalities, who meet specifically to learn and share languages.

How it works

Each participant receives sticker flags that they attach to their clothing: the native language at the top, and the rest of The languages at the bottom sorted by fluency level. People are free to make friends and socialize with whoever they want, in a relaxed atmosphere, while having drinks.
As of September 2018, Mundo Lingo events regularly take place in 30 cities in 24 countries on 5 continents.
It is a good proposal for those who want to make friends!

This is amazing to know about. Thanks! Where are the people you met from? What countries?
I have met people from USA, UK, Germany, Norway, Poland, France, Denmark, my goal is to improve my English so it is the language I choose to interact, but there are people from everywhere, Latin American countries too, I have fun while learning so for me it is a very good option to meet people and learn at the same time.

What is the age range of people going? Do they want to practice their Spanish? Or just to meet up socially? Are people hooking up? Is this to date?

There are people of all ages; I've interacted with individuals ranging from 20 to 30 years old as well as those over 40. Many foreigners are looking to improve their Spanish, and I consider socializing to be a fun way to achieve that. It's evident that some are seeking dates, which I don't see as a negative; however, the fundamental idea is to meet people while learning. From my perspective, the exchange experience is truly fascinating.

Very good information. If I finally have the courage to leave my difficult Argentine wife I will go to these! Thanks! Yet another reason to possibly run! Ha. The list is growing longer every day.
