This Wednesday, February 14, Valentine's Day is celebrated and one of the most popular options for couples is to go out to dinner. That is why the restaurants in the City of Buenos Aires open their doors with different proposals to celebrate love.

A brunch with the best view of Puerto Madero, combining drinks and beers with jazz music or trying a new dish could be the perfect date for this year. Today, we recommend seven places to go out to eat and celebrate love in CABA.

Selected dishes and wines to celebrate Valentine's Day

Casa Seis, the new wine bar in Chacarita (495 Guevara St.), will offer a special pairing on Valentine's Day. On February 14, they will serve four special wines, which will be sold by the glass, to accompany their proposal of small plates. A sommelier will guide diners to know which wine to pair each dish on the menu with .

“For February 14, we recommend a low-temperature roast with cabbage salad and Creole sauce emulsion, to accompany the Malbec. Grilled oysters with chili, roasted pumpkin and confit leeks go very well with Chardonnay or rosé wine; and, at dessert time, you can choose a coconut and ginger sponge cake with coffee and chocolate ganache, milk foam with ginger, coconut flakes and toasted hazelnuts, which is also ideal for Malbec,” recommends its owner Fidel Pérez Ochoa . .

The ideal brunch to end a walk in Puerto Madero

With a privileged location inside the Fortabat Museum, Croque Madame invites you to enjoy a complete brunch for two people on Valentine's Day. Includes a hot infusion of your choice (tea or coffee); orange juice or lemonade with mint and ginger; buffalo yogurt with granola and seasonal fruits; and scrambled eggs with crispy bacon, avocado and a slice of artisanal sourdough bread.

As its owner, Tomas Borgmann, says, many couples who are walking or cycling through the area, stop at the place, enjoy the landscape and are encouraged to try the Brunch. In that sense, he remarked: “Originally, Croque Madame's brunch was designed for those people who walk across the bridge on weekends, who are in 'tourist mode'. And, since the place and the location are very nice to admire the landscape and relax, we thought it would be a good Valentine's Day option .”

Live jazz and 2x1 cocktails in Palermo

Desarmadero Bar and Desarmadero Session are two beer bars par excellence, located in a quiet corner of Palermo (4295 Gorriti St.). There it is proposed to celebrate love and friendship with a night full of music and toasts. Starting at 8 p.m., the bars will be decorated with an allusive decoration, will have a live jazz band, and will offer a 2x1 on selected beers and cocktails.

With a different proposal for Valentine's Day, Yésica Rodríguez explained that for the musicalization of the event they chose a jazz band that will set the mood for the night. “We chose this musical style, based on the musical cycles that we did previously and it is one of the most accepted by our audience ,” she commented.

“We seek to provide a unique experience, where you not only taste remarkable cuisine, but also live the complete experience, including good service and spending quality time. For Valentine's Day we designed three menus and one of them vegetarian because we seek to please all palates. Each dish was designed for this special occasion, in which we thought about what would be the best options to share between two people. To elevate the experience a little more, we decided that the dinner moment be accompanied by a surprise show ,” said the chef about the proposal.
