I remember this guy https://x.com/Geologo_Trader on X. He got popular posting photos of streaks and boobs. He was bragging how cheap Buenos Aires is. Then I saw a few weeks ago he was saying Australia is cheaper than BA. 🤣 What an ass clown.

Now some company hired him to to do investor relations? Talk about red flag! Probably a company going out of business that is paying nothing to and he is so desperate he took it. I saw a few of his posts talking about penny stock investments but didn't seem like anyone was interested.

This guy is a total tool! His X account is so cheesy! He sounds like a broke Aussie that lost his job back home. Tried to make his way in Argentina, couldn't find a job and started peddling subscriptions on how to pick up girls. It is embarrassing. I think half these guys that post all of this online don't realize this stuff on the internet lasts forever.

He went to Paraguay to set up residency to not pay taxes to any country. But it doesn't sound like he makes any money! He peddles and recommends penny stocks and some two bit company hired him for IR. Very funny! So many of these types in Argentina.

OMG. I just read this guy's X account. Talk about cheesy! I need to give him my screen name of El Queso. I just showed my wife and she said the guy is so ugly to be posting selfies like that. She joked even our daughter in high school doesn't post as many selfies. The funny thing is that he just posted himself in Australia and saying Buenos Aires is more expensive than Australia now. I saw a post today that came up in my X feed. Some penny stock hired this guy Jordan to pitch their stock to other investors. 🤣🤣 Hilarious. Nothing screams desperation like hiring some guy that posts boob photos for head of your Investment Relations team.

Wait is this the same guy that always posted photos of the steak and cleavage? I thought it was so degrading to the girls. I wondered if they knew he was using them. They probably didn't even know. What a loser using the girls like that for his own gain.

Did someone really hire him? This can't be true. What is his qualifications?

We are living in a simulation. You can't make this stuff up. But this is so transparent why they hired this guy. Is he even in Argentina legally? Or as a tourist? Can he be working in Argentina as a tourist?

That is a good question. I read that he did something in Paraguay not to pay taxes but is this guy even in Argentina legally? Most of these people are just on tourist visas. It would be worth checking into. Since he is an expert on picking up Argentine chicks.

I mean, my lunch today was under $5 but I was on a tight timeline so I just walked around the corner to get three empanadas and a Red Bull. 😅

It’s still possible to be cheap here, you just have to think like a local.

This is very key. Yes prices went up. A lot in Buenos Aires. But there are also great deals still. Still I can find a great meal in Central Paris for not much and in Buenos Aires it is very difficult now. It is sad when it is cheaper in much of Paris than Buenos Aires.

Unfortunately there are a lot of expats like this. They think the solution is to come to Latin America and life will be easy. It almost never ends up well and they move back home and are broke. No wonder the birth rates are down and no one is having kids. Broke lads like this.

I took a drive out to San Antonio de Areco over the weekend and ended up having this spread for 26k pesos after tip. If I hadn't used the card, it would've been 23k after tip with the efectivo discount. Easily on par with (or better than) the milas I've had at El Preferido over the years, but way cheaper.

As I've said, there's still very good value to be had if you think like an Argentinian and go where the locals go.

Looks like a mess on the board. What is it?? 26,000 pesos is like $24 USD isn't it? Is that such a good deal? Here in Spain food is very cheap. That just looks like French fries and a mess of maybe cheese (my friends say they smoother everything with greasy disgusting cheese in Argentina) and that looks to be true. Is that two eggs on top? Looks gross to be honest. Doesn't look like anything to brag about.

The photos with the girls looked like the old switcheroo and a distraction to hide that he might be gay. It's ok it's 2025. Or maybe he is bi. I do think this is a problem today. I don't know how I got stuck on X but every other post I see is someone trying to pitch life in Latin America as cheap and easy. I don't know why but I keep seeing move to Paraguay posts. I only went once but it was terribly hot. The people were friendly and they had cheap restaurants but there is an explosion of move to Paraguay posts including with that guy Jordan. Are they getting paid or something by a lawyer to post those?

What happened to the girls he used to post? I liked his posts of the steak with girls. Then he switched to selfies drinking milk. Not sure what that was about. Never seen adult males posting themselves drinking milk. Is that a thing these days? I am genuinely asking because I don't know. Is that a thing? Is that code for something? I noticed he made many milk posts?
Never thought about it about the girls but he never posted the girls faces so that is good if they didn't want to be in the photos. I actually liked those posts. They came across as genuine and real. Then I started seeing posts about investing. Who wants to take financial advice from an unemployed guy in Argentina that post selfies of himself drinking milk?

I am glad you said something! I also thought the food looked gross. A lot of the food in restaurants here is just not good. Now overpriced in many places. That food looked greasy and unhealthy and not too edible. Much of the food in the restaurants in BA is not healthy and bad ingredients.

Just read this guy in Chinatown and 2 coffees and 2 pieces of cake for $32 USD. I have the same experiences here. Prices are out of hand in many spots.

I just visited his Twitter account. He doesn't sound like a bad guy TBH. Are those guys In his profile picture with him? Not sure what this is about? I dated a few expats before I married my Porteño husband. I think what happens is some expats look to move here because it is very cheap. They reason to themselves they can have a better life here not needing to make that much. But before you know it, you are older and older. I dated a guy from New Zealand before I met my husband. Great guy! But he lost his digital gig and thought he could just get by. He didn't have much savings and he kept getting money from his parents. He was in his mid 30's and I kept nudging him to find a real job. He didn't and he quickly went from being an asset to me to being a liability because I was paying for dates and meals out and his parents cut him off from their credit card.

Nothing screams run to a girl like paying for dates. Many guys don't seem to want to grow up and by that age you have to figure things out. He stayed in Argentina too long and basically become unemployable. Last time I talked to my friend and he is still living at home with his parents now. I dodged a bullet. I loved him but life is tough enough without the Peterpan syndrome which it seems like a lot of expats in BA have. Most have left by now.
