In a 33-page document, titled “Argentina in its third debt crisis,” the former president compared the policies of the libertarian government with those implemented by the last military dictatorship and warned of administrations that “could not finish their mandates.”

This morning, former president Cristina Kirchner published an extensive document with strong criticism of the government of Javier Milei . Among other points, she accuses him of carrying out a plan of “destabilization” and “organized chaos ,” which she compared to the policies implemented by the last military dictatorship.

Furthermore, in several sections of the text he questioned the alternatives that Milei deploys to dollarize the economy and defended the governors, in the midst of the bidding and tension with the national government, after the parliamentary setback of the Omnibus Law in Parliament.

The main criticisms

"So far, the new government has only deployed a ferocious adjustment program that acts as a true destabilization plan and that not only feeds back the inflationary spiral, placing society on the brink of shock, but will also inevitably cause an increase in unemployment and social desperation in a kind of planned chaos . ”

“It is more than evident that in the President's head the only stabilization plan is dollarization. The measures adopted in another theoretical framework are not explained.”

Milei's master plan does not differ much from that carried out by the civil-military dictatorship in terms of the indiscriminate opening of the economy and de facto labor deregulation, nor from the privatizations of the '90s. If the dictatorship's plan was for indiscriminate opening and Menem's for privatization of public companies, Milei's adds the foreignization of land and natural resources through two figures."

“The legitimacy of origin given by the popular vote should not make the current president lose sight of the legitimacy of exercising government management, which can only be achieved by improving the quality of life of Argentines. In this sense, it is worth remembering that other political forces, at different stages, that obtained their own strength that infused them with founding air, could not finish their mandates when they failed to give society the quality of life that Argentines demand.

Cristina Kirchner spoke of "destabilization" and "social chaos"

“All the measures adopted so far are repetitions of policies already implemented in the past, including some of them applied with Parliament closed by the dictatorship. They all failed miserably, causing only poverty and pain .

“Excessive debt in dollars is poison for our bi-monetary economy. And in the case of the IMF loan it is even more serious; "Not only because of the unprecedented volume in dollars that it meant, but because of the permanent conditioning that it implies for the country's economic policy."

“We do not share your diagnosis that the fiscal deficit is the only reason for inflation and the Argentine crisis. As we develop in this document, the shortage of dollars is what strains the economy and triggers inflation.”

“The situation of the country and the responsibility of those who have been elected to govern and legislate will require the construction of a system of parliamentary agreement .”

“The Provinces need the resources that correspond to them by laws, decrees or previous agreements that arise from the 2023 budget - which is a law of laws - and that are being illegally withheld from them . This is not “punishment of the governors”, but rather harming all Argentinians who, except in CABA, live in the 23 Provinces. When we talk about give and take we want to be clear: exchanging resources for the provinces in exchange for extraordinary powers or unlimited permission to further indebt the country in dollars and blindly privatize national assets places those who do so in open contradiction with Art. 29 of the National Constitution.”

“In terms of security we must abandon sloganism. With social inequality, on the one hand, or trigger-happy behavior on the other, no security plan can be developed. Don't let those who during Macri's administration appointed a Miss Argentina in charge of the intelligence school of the Ministry of Security come to us .

“It is still contradictory and very surprising that someone who wants to close the Central Bank so that the “robber politicians” do not issue more pesos because they believe that the only cause of inflation is the issuance of pesos to face the fiscal deficit - that is to the State's debt in pesos - at the same time intends to eliminate all the restrictions that the State has to issue public debt but... in dollars!, and for that it summons Macri's serial debtor who brought back as Minister of Economy to the IMF, Luis Caputo ”.

“President Javier Milei should seriously analyze that those who were largely defeated in the last presidential elections will try to condition him by landing in the main areas of government and even take political control and displace him from the management of the Executive Branch if they consider it necessary. “Recycling failed officials to reissue failed policies can only lead to bad results . ”

“Argentina is going through the third debt crisis incubated in the government of Mauricio Macri due to the brutal indebtedness contracted with investment funds, aggravated by the return of the IMF to our country with a loan of unprecedented and scandalous volume and conditions. It is necessary to point out that this process has not yet reached its climax .

“Dollarization and increased sovereign debt in hard currency are among us and have begun to unfold. The dollarization of the Argentine economy will imply the definitive closure of the possibility of developing our country with social inclusion . The country is not going to have more dollars. On the contrary, we are going to have fewer dollars because we are going to affect the competitiveness of the majority of the productive sectors that generate foreign currency and the weight of the external debt in our economy will increase, which is already overwhelming, becoming the true ordeal of Sisyphus.

“It would not be accurate to describe this government as the fourth neoliberal experience. The characteristics of the new President's speech and political praxis, such as that of his teams in the different areas, place the government on a level that goes beyond the disruptive and take it to a place that Argentina has never known. This is also taking place in an extremely serious economic and social framework.
