Deputies will begin to discuss from this Tuesday the “omnibus” law sent by the Government of Javier Milei, which is strongly rejected by the bloc Union for the Homeland: in the last hours the Kirchnerist bench, led by Germán Martínez, asked to move the Casa Rosada to Congress so that all the president's ministers attend to give explanations about the project in question , with the aim of delaying the discussion in the lower house.

“Those of us who make up the Union for the Homeland Block that I chair require that the Ministers of the competent areas be summoned in person at the joint information meeting of commissions, which was convened for January 9 and 10,” expresses the letter that Martínez sent to the head of the General Legislation commission of the lower house, Gabriel Bornoroni.

The opposition bloc warned: “We point out with concern that the call note, dated January 5, refers to the possible participation of officials remotely. In this sense, we do not find justifications that allow Ministers or officials to be excused from participating in person before the plenary session of commissions, where they must found the project and answer the questions raised by national deputies ".

Under this premise, Unión por la Patria demands, for example, that “the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers, Nicolás Posse, be summoned , to present and answer questions on the following topics: modifications to the Public Employment Law; privatization of Public Companies; emergency declarations on various matters; regulatory quality policy regime; internal control regime of the administration; changes in the legislation on the Anti-Corruption Office; dispute settlement regime; existing contracts; modifications to the national law of administrative procedures; delegation of powers by the Legislative Branch to the Executive Branch; and any legislative modification or delegation of powers included in the reference file, linked to its powers.”

As for the Minister of the Interior, Guillermo Francos, Christianity wants him to speak on “electoral legislation and single-member constituencies; modification to the STEP; financing of Political Parties; transfer of the organization charts of the National Justice to CABA; modifications linked to tourism legislation; modifications in environmental matters, burning activities, periglacial areas, fertilizer management, native forests; and any legislative modification or delegation of powers included in the reference file, linked to its powers.

Among the massive call is the head of the Economy portfolio, Luis Caputo. They will demand explanations from him about the “declaration of emergency in economic, fiscal, financial, tariff and energy matters; modification to the operation of the Banco de la Nación Argentina; Money laundering; modification to the Personal Property Tax; tax, customs and social security moratorium; educational financing; modifications to the Fishing Law; changes in internal tax legislation; economic deregulation; modifications to the Biofuels Law; modification to the Financial Administration Law; and modifications in the rates of export duties.”

The agenda for Caputo does not end there, since the Martínez bench seeks to investigate “modifications to the Hydrocarbons Law 17,319; consolidation and regulation of national public sector debt; natural gas regulatory framework; privatization of public companies; incentive regime for large investments; elimination of retirement mobility of assets by law; modifications to the law on insurance entities and their control; modifications to the law of mutual associations; amendments to the company law; public credit operations and their regulation; modification to taxes on transfers of real estate of natural persons and undivided estates; and registered employment promotion regime”, among other issues.

In the letter sent the ministers appear Guillermo Ferraro (Infrastructure), Mariano Cúneo Libarona< /span>Mariano Russo(Defense).Luis Petri (Foreign Relations) and Diana Mondino (Human Capital), Sandra Pettovello (Health), (Security), Patricia Bullrich (Justice),
