Confirmed - The Central Bank of Argentina is Manipulating the Exchange rate

Wow that is very impressive to buy so many. I heard that much of this building was bought by one investor. I did not know it was @BuySellBA. I did not realize the scale of how big they were. I just read the news articles on their website. I had no idea it was that big.

I wonder what will happen to property values after Milei blows up Argentina?

This is funny Larry!

Seriously it seems like you may have been right after all about Milei. You may have the last laugh.

Yes I will have the last laugh on Milei. Did you see the latest news. He is trying to blame the VP Villarreal for the exchange rate!

When will you all admit I was right about Milei? He is a fraud. He said the USD would go to 600 pesos to $1 US! 🤡🤡🤡

I remember reading Milei saying the exchange rate would go 600 pesos to $1. Oops! Exchange rate seems to be cratering just like @BuySellBA accurately predicted a few months ago. Looks like once it hits 1500 pesos to $1 it will be time for me to come back to BA. Hopefully inflation won't go back up.

The agricultural sector is currently holding approximately $9.5 billion USD in exportable goods, waiting on the sidelines for a significant currency devaluation before liquidating. This effectively places a cap on how much the currency can depreciate in the short term (from now through year-end). A combination of lower export taxes and an exchange rate in the 1,450–1,500 range will likely be sufficient to bring farmers back into the market.

Wow an apartment in Soho only paid for itself in 3.6 years! That is crazy! Is that the building you sold all your properties in? Is that the building on X where you bought 30% of the building?
Wow! Crazy crazy. Property prices were so cheap before.

Crazy how much the government is still intervening it looks like the futures market. It looks like the exchange rate is going to blow through the 1400 to $1 rate soon. So much debt to pay off. Doesn't look pretty.

It sounds like before the election in October the peso is going to crater. Most people I talk to tell me the real exchange rate should be over 1,500 to $1 and looks like it's heading there.

Only so long they can prop the peso up. My guess is things will go from hell to a handbag around the election and probably after a quick fall.

Things sound like they are a bit desperate there in Argentina. I'm in BA in November. It will be interesting to see how things shake out after the election and where the exchange rate will be.
