Higher beef prices pushed up the pace of monthly inflation in Argentina in November but the yearly rate likely dropped to a new seven-year low, a Reuters poll of economists showed.

Still a bargain compared to prices in other countries. I spent Thanksgiving with my sister in Santa Barbara and I was shocked to see what streak prices cost there at the store. Ouch!

Many in Buenos Aires that I talk to have cut back drastically on beef. I joked with the doorman that in the USA beef is very expensive and no one expects to eat it every week like here. I think people have to adjust with the realities of steak being more of a luxury vs. assuming they can eat it a few times a week.
