Worst things about Buenos Aires besides dog poop?

Good decision the humidity is making me miserable and it's only December. If you came here for the first time in January you would have no choice but to hate Buenos Aires and that would be a shame.
I think you are right. January is a very miserable month. The humidity is terrible! I always tell people not to come to my city in January. All leave January to escape this miserable weather.

I hate the bad drivers here. Both from buses and also motorcycles and cars. I just saw this news. Bad choices all around driving 3 people on a motorcycle with no helmets and with a baby.

I'm amazed by the stupidity I see here on a daily basis on the roads. They have such road rage too. Some of the worst I have seen. People honking and threatening one another too.

On the other side I guess if you aren't happy with your wife you can make her do this.

A simple trip to the supermarket is a horrible experience here. Crappy awful quality products, decent products that are here one week then disappear, enormous lines that barely move. Products without price tags which end up 3 times more expensive than you could imagine. A 50/50 chance the air conditioning will be on when it's 35c.

Scumbags who use the cashiers as their personal phone technician or internet banking assistant while 10 people wait in line.

In all my years of travel and life I never experienced an intense dread of going to the supermarket until I came to Argentina

Going to the supermarket definitely is not a joyful experience here.

I don't understand how the supermarkets are so terrible here. Maybe all these years of socialism has ruined things but it is unbelievable how bad they are. Anywhere else in Latin America is very good. I was just in Paraguay and night and day difference. I wonder if things will improve? I heard Carrefour wants the hell out of Argentina.

No one has ever been able to tell me why it is so bad. I think we will know when things really improve in Argentina once this situation changes.

Just from the buildings and landscape in that video it looks like a dump
Mar del Plata isn't a dump. It is a nice town. It is a relaxed vibe. It doesn't compare to the beaches in Brazil. Locals go because it is easy to get to and it is close.

I don't really like it. It has a lot of old high-rises so the skyline isn't great. Lots of concrete and poorly maintained. It's not worth going in the winter and in the summer it's too chaotic and busy.

Beaches are not great and the water is cold.

A bit of good news for you @Jenn

Go to the nyc subreddit like the top 5 posts all complaining about the dog poop epidemic in New York LOL. I don't know how to link a video but one of the top posts is "after the show melted" an entire walkway covered in dog crap, worse than anything I've ever seen in Buenos Aires ! Enjoy your socialism New York. 🤣🤣🤣🤣😊😊😄😄😄😄👋

NYC has gone downhill. Lots and lots of homeless now. I went a few weeks ago and had to avoid the subway entirely. Lots of mental issues too there.

Worse than the dog sh*t is those dog walkers with literally 20 dogs at a time. The owners are scum. If you are too lazy to walk your dog at least pay a bit more for a walker with a small number of dogs like 5 max. It might cost more but if you can't put in the smallest amount of effort don't get a dog in the first placel. Its animal cruelty they should all be banned from having dogs

So you've got a dog and realised you're too lazy to give it any attention or exercise, don't force it to go on a 20 dog death march, they all look miserable and anxious. These owners are the WORST of humanity

I don't think there is anything wrong with these dog walkers. Some of the owners are probably working all day and this is better than locking your dog up all day. I'm in an airbnb now where the owner leaves their dog home all day barking.

There's nothing wrong with dog walkers. There's something terribly wrong when it's one person walking 20+ dogs at the same time. Its animal cruelty and the dogs are suffering. Don't support animal cruelty just to get a temporary break from barking

I saw one of those with about 20 dogs. I agree with you Barry. I don't mind seeing 5 or so but half the time I see the dogs barking and fighting with one another.
