Why Living in Argentina Feels Harder Than You Expected

True. What has been the toughest part for you Jerry living here so many years? Anything you particularly hate?
The never-ending bureaucracy.
The go along to get along attitude of many Argentines.
The manana culture.
The practically non-existent customer service
The fact that you could have 1,000 portenos on the sidewalk and each of them act as though they are the only ones. (I don't find this is other parts of Argentina, only BA.

Thankls for asking.

Now stand by as some participants of ExpatsBA disgree with some because they haven't experienced something or only experienced it with one person. That smacks of Argentine thinking which seems to be that an exception to a rule proves the entire rule is false.

Thank you. I am always curious as someone new here. I know some of you are oldtimers here and here many years. I don't think I could handle day to day living like this. The manana culture just like you said. It is super annoying. I paid a maid to clean my place and I was going to Brazil so I asked her to clean my place so it would be clean when I came back. I paid her ahead of time. She ghosted me.

In the store no one wants to help you. It is like they can't be bothered. Just sitting on their phones watching Tik Tok. You nailed it about people walking on the sidewalk. Maybe people will disagree but I actually don't find Portenos too friendly compared to the rest of South America.

Agreed. There is so much red tape here. Also there is a serious lack of people that want to work. I tried to see some properties and I'm struggling as either the broker no showed or they cancelled at the last minute after I cleared out my day. Very annoying.
