That is my definition too. Once you move to another country. Not just on vacation or temporary digital nomad.

But if only a digital nomad, how long do you think you need to be living in a country not to be considered an "expat"? I consider myself an expat even if I'm traveling around as a digital nomad in many different cities.

You’re not defined by your visa or your timeline.
You’re defined by whether you’re living in a place… or just passing through it. Even those people who spend a few months in America and a few months elsewhere are no 'expats'.
