I have a few friends that fell in love with Argentina. But then they try to do simple stuff here like bank, rent properties long term and other stuff like deal with utilities. A friend recently bought an apartment and he couldn't even sign up for internet without having residency! He had to ask his realtor to put the Internet into their name. You can go crazy dealing with the red tape here.

Many many people left BA as it got more expensive. It always seems like they flock here when it's cheap and leave when it's expensive. Or cry or complain once it gets expensive.

Thiland is great! So cheap the food. Friendly people. My only complain is how far it is and that awful heat!

You can still spend much less here than other places but I wouldn't say it's cheap anymore.
