It might be AI but Jake Tapper is capable of anything. He is surely the most pathetic of media personalities today. He was tearing Republicans apart on TV for questioning Biden's mental acuity while at the very same time working on his book about the Biden coverup. You can't make it up.

If you seriously believe that Trump would invade Greenland and oust the current government, then you must be the same type of people who mistake his negotiation style as being a TACO. Of course he is NOT going to invade Greenland! The risk vs. reward makes zero sense to do that. That would mean the US exits NATO and become the enemy of the world! He is simply giving the other side a way to save face when he gets what he actually wants. The US already has full strategic use of Greenland. What Trump wants is to avoid what happened with the Panama Canal after the US gave up control. He wants the US (and US companies) to invest in Greenland. He wants to make sure that the US will control the results of those investments and to reap its benefits forever, He is saying all those things to get a treaty that would make those guarantees. If he doesn't get it, he just won't invest in Greenland and the comments will be used as a pretext to prevent adversaries from going anywhere near it.

It doesn't sound like the USA has to worry about Greenland. From what I read they have freewill to build up their presence there.

But right now he is upset as he says everything that Trump says is not true

It the same guys in control and they are being pretty nasty to the normal guys.

No one is able to go out in the streets or go to work except for supermarkets

He and others I have talked to today say no one thought about what happened after they took maduro out.

Right now their way of life is worse than last week.

@GlasgowJohn how long do you think people like your friend there will support what is going on there? It is hard to get a sense of it from watching the news. It seems like most of the people that wanted to flee or get out of Venezuela mostly have with 1/3 the population already having left.

My freind has his own company closed all this week. his employees are unable to visit customers.
it looks like they will not be doing too much next week either.

The situation is surreal, with the truth of what happened when the USA arrested Maduro still unclear.

Wpart from the 32 Cubans who were killed , at least 70 Venezuelans were also killed.

The uncertainty of it all has to be stressful for people living there. I know many are applauding it but many applauding it have already fled Venezuela so they don't have to deal with the aftermath as much as locals living there.

My Venezuelan friends living in Argentina all applaud this and say it is worth it at any cost. Now I am wondering if you are correct @GlasgowJohn

That is what they say. Like you Mike I don't know if this can be true. Many here don't own their properties and rent. I know things are much cheaper outside of CABA but I wonder how much of the actual salaries are under the table. I know salaries are not too much here but I wonder if it's really 70% of the population making so little.

Peronism didn't work. It failed completely but Trump's policies are very similar. People assume Trump and Milei are good friends and aligned on things but they couldn't be more different in their approaches.

There is no clear timeline and this is very worrying.

I agree there were a lot of ways to handle that ICE situation without shooting and killing her. She should have just stopped but the ICE agent I don't believe was fearing for his life.

I wonder if the situation will get worse over time not better. The stooges are on notice that this could happen to them so that may keep them in check but it seems like there are still evil people loyal to the cause seeking vengeance on those that supported the invasion to oust Maduro.

From the outside looking in the US looks terribly divided. Trump supporters seem to support anything he does and anti-Trump people are opposed to anything he does. That is not good but I don't understand how anyone can support what that ICE officer did. It looked like murder to me but the VP Vance already is saying it is justified. I think it was a mistake to speak out on it and just let the court system see.

Seems like chaos in the USA. It seems like a powder keg.
