trump bait and switch

i did the same thing with my subcontractors. if they made a mistake or missed something on the plan and did not include in their price we split it. its a line item on my spreadsheet called incedentals

i think you have to think about tthe people you work with it does no good to let them swing on a rope. your in it together
The problem with this system is how can you control if they are lying about a good crop or not? Argentina being Argentina my guess is every year they would say they had a bad crop.

I don't know if this sounds fair. If you forgot to ask for something I don't think the subcontractor should be expected to pay half.

i ‘ll give you another example. when building roads you need line items for winter conditions and hard digs. its a budget but is there if you need it.

if you don’t open the books the bidding company will just add it in x 2 even if it doesn’t happen
What is stopping them from cooking the books? I can't imagine too many books are clean in Argentina. Yesterday at lunch I got 20% discount to pay with cash. I can't imagine all these places in Argentina don't have 2 or 3 sets of books. 🤣

20%? Wow that is a good cash discount. May I ask what restaurant it was?

One accountant once told me in Argentina if a company paid all the legal taxes they would not make any money.

It was at Piegari Carnes next to the Four Seasons hotel. One of my favorite steak places. I think they have much better steaks than Don Julio for much cheaper. The food here is good. I didn't have much cash left but when the waiter told me it was 20% less to pay in cash I couldn't pass it up. Most places it is only 10% discount.

i wasn’t in the retail business. commercial only. everybody makes mistakes in the construction business. if i didn’t protect them their next bid would be alot higher. i want the best prices when bidding projects.

that door swings both ways. i show them a spreadsheet with all the pricing so if ther is a problem the spreadsheet is the map they can follow. its nothing like residential with a single price on a piece of paper
