Holy smokes! I knew Argentina had a lot of debt but didn't know they had such low net reserves!

Argentina has $95bn of dollar- and euro-denominated debt, against net reserves of about $6bn, according to Barclays. It has to make $44bn worth of debt repayment between now and the end of Milei’s term in 2027. Milei can ill-afford to use scarce foreign exchange reserves to prop the peso."

It also seems like the peso is tremendously overvalued. Most of these articles are saying it needs to fall at least 30%.

i apologize for the double post, my inexperience. i have said before, don’t trust trump, he is outside the constitution. that’s supposed to be approved by congress.the usa government is shut down at present because the dems and reps can’t agree on a new budget. that 20 billion might become an issue when the medicad patients aren’t receiving medical treatment.

I doubt the USA will actually put any money into this program they spoke about. You are correct about patients suffering. This is a joke supporting Argentina when we can't take care of our own citizens.
