Expat Life: Local Discoveries, Global Connections

Thoughts on relocating to Mendoza from CABA

You will want to be in Quinta which is very popular with expats and also the locals love it. Very desirable area. Especially nice is near Parque General San Martin which is a quiet tree lined area. That Parque is a big Central Park for the area. Even though it's quiet you are near restaurants, cafes and shopping and near good public transportation. Generally a good balance between being somewhat urban and very calm area.

5ta and 6ta Sección is also great. Lots of expats rent here too and retirees. It is good if you want to be close and not too isolated but still calm.
These areas are excellent. Also if you don't want to be in the city you can go a bit further on the edge of the city and it is more quiet. Godoy Cruz which is right next to Mendoza city but still very access le to the enter of the city. There are quiet residential neighborhoods like Dorrego or Barrio Bombal. More spacious areas and yards.

I have some friends that live out in Lujan de Cuyo which is the ritzy suburban areas. It is too quiet for me but more and more gated communities there with big yards. You can still be within commuting distance to the city. Too quiet for me.

Charcras de Coria is where my friend lives. He loves it! Less urban and has great views and scenic. Lots of wine lovers like that area. Tree lined streets and galleries and more of a small community vibe and only 15 minutes to downtown Mendoza.

Charcras de Coria is nice! Too far from the action. Love La Quinta.
