Tolls on national road corridors (NA) increase

Drivers traveling through sections I to National Highway Administration published today in the Official Gazette . The toll for a car, with variations depending on the section in question, will go from $300 to $900.

This significant adjustment is the result of a citizen consultation carried out between March 19 and April 17 and responds to the need to update the costs associated with the operation, conservation, maintenance and support services essential for the adequate provision of the service, according to argued the Government through a statement.

To facilitate transactions at toll stations, rates will be rounded to multiples of $100. This change is the first since November 2023 and is made in a context of increases in the prices of key components for road operations.

The rate for cars for most of the sections involved goes from $300 to $900

In addition, starting in June, National Roads will implement a monthly review of rates to avoid delays that could negatively impact the service. This mechanism will be based on the Tariff Variation Coefficient and will remain active until the end of December of this year.

Thus, for example, the toll during normal hours for a motorcycle at the Riccheri station will be worth $350 for a motorcycle. Until tomorrow, Thursday, that value was $150. During peak hours, meanwhile, that value will go to $450.

For a car, meanwhile, the fare at the same toll station will go from the current $250 during normal hours to $700, while during peak hours the rate will go from the current $300 to $900, an increase of 200 percent.

In the rest of the Road Corridor tolls, motorcycles do not pay tolls, so the first category corresponds to cars. And it goes from $300 to $900 without distinction of time.

In this context, National Roads encourages the use of the TelePASE system that allows you to pay tolls on the country's main highways and routes without having to stop driving or roll down the vehicle window.

The citizen consultation procedure was developed online from its publication in the Official Gazette of the Argentine Republic on March 19, 2024 , and was extended until April 17, inclusive.
