Thinking of staying in Cañuelas - is it safe?

Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice from people who know Buenos Aires province well, especially Cañuelas. Is it a safe town? I’m considering an Airbnb there for a two-week stay to get away from the city, and I’m wondering if it’s a safe area for foreigners. We speak Spanish and have never had any bad experiences traveling in Argentina during the years we’ve been here; just being cautious is usually enough to stay safe most of the time.
If you’ve been there and know the area, I’d really appreciate any tips. Thanks!

Stayed there last year for a week, and I felt safe the whole time. People are friendly, it’s small and chill. I’d say avoid wandering alone late at night in unknown spots, but otherwise no worries.

Why in the world would you want to be that far away from the city??

Hi! I’ve spent some time in Cañuelas and can share a bit about it. Overall, it’s a quiet town and generally safe, especially if you stick to well-lit streets and main areas. Like anywhere, it’s good to be cautious, but you shouldn’t have major issues as long as you stay aware.
If you’re looking for a place to eat, I highly recommend La Querencia, they have great traditional Argentine food and the locals love it. Perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner while you’re there.

Enjoy your stay and the slower pace outside the city!
