Buenos Aires' iconic monument has been renovated to offer you an unforgettable experience: for the first time in its 89-year history, the Obelisco will open its observation deck to the public regularly. Starting November 1st, the new Obelisk Observation Deck invites you to enjoy a 360° panoramic view of the city from a height of 67.5 meters.

Thanks to the addition of a specially designed elevator that doesn't alter the original structure, you can now safely and comfortably reach the top. The ascent has an added bonus: one side of the elevator is made of glass, allowing you to discover the interior of the Obelisco, and another side features an information screen.

What is the experience like?

After climbing eight steps, you'll reach the elevator that will whisk you to level 55 in just one minute. From there, a 35-step spiral staircase leads to the observation deck. Through four strategically placed windows facing the cardinal directions, you'll be treated to an unparalleled panoramic view—previously only accessible by climbing 206 steps of a narrow, winding staircase. The experience lasts approximately 20 minutes and includes a historical and cultural narration.

With this new proposal, the dream of seeing Buenos Aires from the top of the Obelisco becomes a reality.

An emblem that beats stronger than ever.

Every year, Buenos Aires welcomes more than 9 million domestic and international tourists, and the Obelisco has always been a must-see. With this new viewpoint, the experience is immersive and comprehensive, adding value to one of the world's great urban icons.

Furthermore, with accessibility in mind, a virtual reality experience will soon be offered so that those with reduced mobility can also learn about the secrets and evolution of this Buenos Aires symbol.

The Obelisco represents us and calls us together. And now it's the perfect window to view and discover Buenos Aires in all its grandeur.
