Economy No more Argentine beef in the USA?

So apparently Brooke Rollins, Trump’s Secretary of Agriculture, just said "No more beef from Argentina" while backing the whole “America First” trade stance. I mean… really?
Let’s be honest, Argentine beef is hands down some of the best in the world. Flavor, quality, tradition, you name it. Cutting it off because of a trade war feels like punishing your taste buds for political points.
If I were living in the U.S., I’d be mourning over an empty grill. There’s good beef, and then there’s Argentine beef. Everything else? Meh.

Looks like Trump is the new Perón, huh? 😆 First, it’s "America First," and now he wants to take away the best beef in the world from Americans... What’s next? A political party to abolish barbecues?

I mean, no one’s saying U.S. beef is bad, but Argentine beef... that’s on a whole other level. If I lived there, I'd be crying in front of an empty grill thinking, "What did I do to deserve this?" Seriously, I think Trump is just doing whatever at this point...

every month in Argentina i feel more and more certain that i won't be returning to the USA any time soon. where the US is actively choosing Protectionism and socialism, Argentina is deleting national laws and letting people live without so many restrictions. a great article by the legendary expat James Hickman (pen name Simon Black, of SovereignMan)

a nation that wants to pick winners and losers, and be able to prosecute anyone that opposes the status quo, need only make so many things illegal that every single citizen is committing felonies. the USA has the problem as described in Harvey Silverglate's book Three Felonies a Day: How the Feds Target the Innocent, "The average American commits three felonies a day"

Argentina did the same, when the Peronists wanted absolute control; make exchanging money, paying taxes, buying a property, getting a job, paying for goods, overwhelmingly impossible to do legally. so now everyone is used to committing fraud 24/7. and this is a good thing; tyrannical laws ought to be disobeyed as peacefully as possible. that's what a Patriot does 🙂

as Juan Domingo Trump continues to show that Republicans are just as communist/socialist/fascist as "The Left" (both sides love tyrants), i feel more and more sad that humans are so easily controlled by charismatic narcissists. has anything changed from the Bread and Circuses of the Roman Empire? will anyone in the US Empire know it's declining and collapsing, as it happens?

Disagree with you that the USA is going socialist. I really love the USA. No problems at all and love it and proud to be American. All my family is there and they have a great life. My only complaint is it's too expensive now. If you aren't wealthy or have a lot of assets it can be a miserable place. I can afford to retire there but my money wouldn't go as far there. Just what I spent in property taxes was crazy.

Here I have a paid off apartment in Recoleta and live a great life and not even for that much money.
