Need a quick escape from BA – any fave nature spots?

Hi everyone!
I’m looking for recommendations for a weekend getaway within 2 hours of Buenos Aires City. Ideally somewhere surrounded by nature, where we can relax but also do some fun activities like horseback riding, hiking, or maybe even some water activities if there’s a river or lake nearby.

Tigre is always a win! You can rent a cabin right by the river, go kayaking, ride horses in some nearby estancias and it’s sooo close to BA.

El Tigre is a great option, but I also recommend San Antonio de Areco. I went a few months ago, this little gaucho town is a classic. There are estancias everywhere with horseback riding and amazing asados. Super chill vibe and only about 1h30 away.

You must check out Uribelarrea, tiny rural town = total disconnect. Great food (their cheese and charcuterie are top tier) and a couple of estancias where you can ride horses.

I recommend you go to Chascomús – By the lagoon! You can kayak, ride horses, watch epic sunsets by the water and eat ridiculously good empanadas.
