In a building you have the combination of utility bills, water, gas all going up each month. You also have salaries jumping up each month too. Plus add in increases with supplies for the building, cleanings, elevator maintenance, etc and prices just keep going up.
Here is my last electricity bill. This is for a 2 bedroom apartment in Palermo. It was rented about 24 days last month on Airbnb. You can see the price for only 28 days of usage was 185,568 pesos which is about $133 USD making the kwh over $0.20 USD per hour which is more than most states in the USA. The average price in the USA is about $0.157 per kwh. Here in California which is a very expensive state where kids flipping burgers at McDonald's are making $20 USD per hour the per Kwh prices are about $0.25 USD so soon CABA prices will be at that level.
