Confidence in Javier Milei's government fell by 4.4% in April, comparing this with the data from the previous month. This was reflected in the latest Government Confidence Index (ICG) prepared by the pollster Poliarquía Consultores for the School of Government of the Torcuato Di Tella University.


In addition, the report highlighted that the ICG for April was 2.45 points, being below the month of March 2024. In year-on-year terms, the index had a positive variation of 128.7% . And finally, the variation of the GCI compared to March was positive in the Honesty of officials (2.74 points, 8.1%).


Regarding the gender division , the April GCI was higher among men (2.74 points and a 4% increase) than among women (2.19 points and a 12% drop). These data were already reflected in the results of February and March, so the trend was the same.

On the other hand, taking age as a reference , the Government Confidence Index for April was higher in the segment made up of young people between 18 and 29 years old (2.71 points and a growth of 7%). Then the fragment composed of people over 50 years old is observed (2.59 points and a decrease of 3%). Finally, there is the portion made up of people between 30 and 49 years old (2.20 points and a drop of 10%).

In relation to the geographical division , the April GCI registered its highest value among those residing in CABA (2.64 points and an increase of 11%). Behind them are those who live in the interior (2.54 points and a decrease of 9%). While in last place are those who reside in GBA (2.20 points and with a growth of 1%).

Next, the level of education was another of the points taken into account for the survey, where the April Index registered its highest value among those who reached secondary education (2.49 points and a drop of 1%). For crime victims , the GCI for April was higher among those interviewed who say they have been (they or their families) victims of crime in the last 12 months (2.62 points and a positive variation of 1%), than among those who They say they have not been victims (2.40 points and a drop of 6%).
