Help with the new Migrations Laws and policies in Argentina?

So I'm back and have a question. You all were helpful with my situation with my ex-girlfriend. I should have listened to some of you from the beginning. New question as I have a friend that is coming to Argentina in the next 2 weeks. I heard there are all kinds of new laws in the pipeline. She is coming in on a tourist visa in 2 weeks.

She wants to travel around and stay for longer than a few months. Truth be told I met her on a dating website and flying her into Argentina. She says she loves me already! I will pay for all her expenses. She will need to overstay at once once and pay the fine when she leaves. She only has a one way ticket to Argentina because I am not sure when she will leave to be honest.

Questions I have are do I need to buy her health insurance? She is coming in 2 weeks from now. I heard it starts July 1st? I honestly don't want to have to pay for a policy for her. I'm already spending a fortune on her plane ticket. Plus she didn't agree to sleep in my apartment and made me get her own Airbnb so that is costing me too. Will I need to show proof of return ticket? If so, what is the best way to do that? Get a refundable ticket?

I don't want her to get stuck and turned back around. I know some will laugh at me and say I'm just paying for a girl to come here but that isn't the case at all. I really like her a lot. We spent hours on WhatsApp video. I'm old enough to be her father but she is very mature for her age. She already told me she is falling in love with me which makes me feel great.

She makes me feel like the luckiest guy in the world. I don't think she is using me but I have to admit I already bought her a new iPhone 16+ and a new MacBook Pro but she claims that is for her online studies. Thanks guys!

There are thousands of girls in Argentina. Why do you need to fly in a girl to Buenos Aires? Where is this girl from? You met her on a dating website? Which one?

She supposedly loves you but she is making you get her own Airbnb? You bought her an iPhone and computer? How long have you known her?

Most times they will ask you to show proof of return. You can just buy a refundable ticket. There are websites like Onward Ticket that are very cheap. Many times I just buy a refundable ticket. The only downside is they are expensive and will take up your credit line on credit card.

I would proceed with caution with this girl. What can you really have in common if she is young enough to be your daughter?

This is great. Just got a refundable ticket. That is the easiest thing. Is this a sugar baby situation? I'm confused about the love part of this. How long have you known her? If she was in love I would think she could stay in your place. How many bedrooms do you have? Unless you had a one bedroom if she didn't want to stay at your place I'd say she is scamming you for a free trip to Argentina. Let us know how it turns out!

The health insurance is supposed to start July 1 so sounds like you are SOL there. On Aerolineas Argentina they have these instructions:

Affidavit for passengers travelling from or to Argentina

Due to national regulations (3025/2020), as of September 7th all passengers travelling from or to Argentina, must comply with the following requirements, within 48 hours prior to the trip.

Requirements

- Complete an electronic affidavit which can be found. at: http://ddjj.migraciones.gob.ar/app/

- At check-in, show the voucher they received in their email upon completion of the affidavit.

It is important for you to know that having the documentation required by both the country of origin and the country of destination is of the essence and necessary to board our flights. Due to the constant updating of the requirements and required documentation to travel imposed by each country, please always check them with the relevant Embassy or Consulate. Having said required documentation and complying with all migratory requirements of each country is the exclusive responsibility of each passenger. Otherwise, you won’t be able to board Aerolíneas Argentinas flights.

For health insurance they will want to see a policy of coverage. I still don't understand how long this will take at EZE. It's already a zoo! Probably a travel insurance coverage letter or policy. They are easy enough to purchase but have gotten expensive. Typically a few hundred dollars for a short trip. I am not sure how it would work if you don't have a return ticket back. Maybe buy a fake refundable ticket. EZE will want to see health insurance coverage that matches the trip return date.

I would recommend buying an affordable travel insurance policy. There are tons of policies. Just google it.

Hospitals now aren't free for tourists. Probably in an emergency they would see someone but they will expect payment. They will require a policy starting July 1.

If you’re asking about your girlfriend and advice on that, I’d say actions speak louder than words. Does she generally only agree with you or does she also comply? Doesn’t have to be always but one is better than the other. One is words the other is action.

Agree. I will never understand guys that have to pay a girl to come to Latin America. Look around! There are girls everywhere. Unless you are stupid you can easily find a beautiful Argentine woman. I know I did.
