My husband obtained his Italian citizenship over a decade ago. We now want to renew his passport and register our three children for citizenship. However, he never registered with AIRE, and I’m running into serious issues trying to complete the process through FastIt. I believe I’ve found the correct form to submit, but I cannot determine where to send it, and the FastIt website keeps redirecting me without giving clear instructions.
I also have a few document-related questions:
I’ve spoken with a few translators, but they’ve given me conflicting information and advised me to “find out directly,” which is proving difficult.
I’m usually quite comfortable navigating online bureaucracy and would prefer to handle this myself rather than hire a gestor, but I’m running out of ideas. If anyone has experience with AIRE registration, FastIt, the La Plata Consulate, or can recommend helpful contacts or Facebook groups (I speak Spanish), I would really appreciate it.
I’ve tried calling the Consulate in La Plata, but they don’t answer. I also sent an email and received an automatic reply instructing me to contact them through FastIt — but I can’t find any way to send a message through the platform.
