Health insurance options for expats during pregnancy?

What are expats currently using for health insurance in Argentina? I’ve seen names like Cigna, Swiss Medical, and OSDE come up, but I’m not sure what’s best. I’m asking because I’m expecting, and I’m a bit worried it might be harder to qualify now because of that 😕. Also, my husband is Argentine, but we haven’t started my residency process yet. Would it make sense to try and apply through him?

Any tips or recommendations would be super helpful. Thanks so much in advance!

I’m with OSDE and honestly they’ve been great, but I signed up before getting pregnant. I’ve heard they can reject new applications during pregnancy, unfortunately 😕. You might have better luck going through your husband if he’s already affiliated with one

Try Swiss Medical! A friend of mine was able to get in during her second trimester, but had to wait a bit for certain coverages to kick in. Might be worth calling them directly and asking about your case.
