I signed up in 2015 for Cobertura Porteña de Salud, a free public health plan in the city. My primary doctor has an office in the neighborhood, so I make appointments by calling 147. For example, if I need a blood test, he writes an order and I get it done at the local public hospital just eight blocks away from my home. After ten years on this free plan, I’m satisfied with it. I just present my DNI at Hospital Ramos Mejía whenever I need an appointment.
