Has anyone used the new financial app Peanut to send Mercado Pago payments in Argentina?

I signed up for an account but have not used it yet. I plan to in a few months when I'm back. It might be helpful since I can't open up a bank account there since I do not have a DNI. Is it still impossible to open up a bank account without having residency there? I tried several banks and was not successful.

No you can't open up a bank account without having your DNI. I too tried a few banks. A friend swore to me that he was able to open one with just his CDI number but when he tried to withdraw money it wouldn't work. It says his account is in review. He has been stuck like this for over a month.
