I get it the ones who disagree are the ones with families and kids to support. I'd be in yall's exact same shoes too it I were in the same position to ensure stability and push for their best outcome I could provide.

As far as any personal laziness accusations, Imma bout bury that narrative. Other than @earlyretirement I challenge anybody here in 2025 to see who's putting in more hours and commitments towards their Argentina goals.

1. 40+ hour full time working
2. ~10 hour Spanish studying in one form or another
3. A little under saving and investing 60% of monthly income
4. Approximately 4 additional hours every day 7 days a week upskilling on various courses

None of these are very impressive(except for maybe 3) but I guarantee you the average bloke won't consistently do all 4. To any who does, my hat goes off to you.

So you aren't a loser after all. Just kidding! Great job! Seriously. You went from zero to hero in one post!

I'm at intermediate Spanish level and can hold my own even at native speed. Although I mentioned early retirement it wouldn't retirement as in doing nothing, it would be to start something that has more freedom and flexibility. It's less about "retiring" from working, and more "retiring" to start something. Based on the FIRE community's numbers I would theoretically have enough to "retire" in Argentina if I were to remain single(with some wiggle room). Of course a lot can change especially here in Argentina.

As females we have the same conversations. Hot and dumb or smart and meh. The age old test of what is best. My combination has been hot and poor/lazy. Now I have ok and ok which on its surface might not sound too good but after all the losers I have dated I will just take plain ok! Thank God my hubby is not on this forum!

Ahhh college days - funny how perspective changes as you get older. Now a days I see crazy for what it is - crazy. Back then I used to think, "these girls aren't crazy... they're just misunderstood." The naivete of youth. No. They were crazies all along haah.

You guys got me thinking. My last few girlfriends have all been plain Jane type and normal. Maybe I need a big of craziness in my life. Argentina is full of crazy and hot. I may change my dating criteria. I have been avoiding the crazies but maybe that is the wrong strategy. 🤔

An update on my first apartment. I am very very happy with how my apartment turned out. I want to thank @earlyretirement and @BuySellBA for all their advice and assistance with helping me buy my apartment and also furnishing it for me. I worked with their interior designer and everything turned out better than I imagined. They told me they couldn't promise me any specific ROI but I have been renting out my apartment a few months now and the ROI is much better than they forecasted. It has been rented out consistently and the feedback has been great.

Here are a few photos of my apartment. I ended up buying a 2nd apartment that they just broke ground on last month. It will take a few years to finish but the values on that property have already gone up since purchasing it. I mostly bought for cash flow in addition to capital appreciation. The value of my Meet Palermo has gone up significantly since I purchased it back in 2023.

Everything turned out exactly as BuySellBA told me it would.
