Great meeting @Betsy Ross, @Darksider415 and @Che Vos yesterday. They all used me to be a mule for them carrying stuff from the USA! LOL.

I’m always happy to bring stuff down for friends. I usually don’t do it for strangers but all of these people have participated on this forum and are active. I think this is a record for the amount of stuff I have brought. I had to bring an extra check in bag and had about 50 pounds of stuff. Everything from car navigation, to tons of clothes and shoes, vitamin supplements, memory cards and perfume. I had 2 MacBooks Pros and and iPhone 16+.

It was great meeting all of you yesterday. Sorry I didn’t have so much time but at least got to say hello. My best friend @Johnny also got to meet all of them and was very nice to put faces to the names/typing.

Cheers all and thanks for participating in the forum.

Mike I can’t thank you enough for bringing all my stuff down. I feel terrible for ordering so much stuff! Thank you for bringing all my clothes, shoes and vitamins and my iPhone. I owe you. Great meeting you and @Johnny!

It was great getting to meet you and @Johnny too. I just wish we had a little more time to chat, but yesterday was a pretty busy day for all of us.

Thanks again for bringing my CarPlay nav screen for the car and the SSD conversion for my iPod (21 years and still going strong).
Wow so much stuff!! I feel extra bad now for asking. I had no idea he would help out so many people.

It was awesome meeting you at La Biela even if it was brief. Mike told me you double parked your car and had to run! We were busy meeting with an investor but would have been nice to chat. Love your posts and hope you post more. Mike told me you rented his apartment in Recoleta for 1 year! I love that property. Such charm and so quiet! I was impressed with those windows!

I couldn’t believe all of that stuff you made him bring! At the airport checking in his bag was 60 pounds and they made him move 10 pounds to my bag so I guess you should ve thanking me too. 😛

Seriously. It was nice meeting you. Good to put a face with the posts.

THANK YOU for my new MacBook Pro! I love you. I love my new iPhone. I can’t afford these price in Argentina. You help me a lot. I like meeting you and @Johnny. Thanks you for letting me pick up at you offfice. So nice to meet you.
Che Vos you were MUCH different than I imagined you! Great meeting you. You were the LAST person I expected to buy a MacBook Pro and an iPhone 16!

Wow I wish I knew people are willing to bring electronics down for people! Does this offer stand in the future? If so, I will start to participate and post more! I need some things. @earlyretirement or @Johnny do you guys come to BA often? Could you bring an IPhone for me? I would be willing to pay a few hundred dollars to do it? I just can’t pay what they are asking here.
Sorry but I can’t be a mule anymore with that much stuff. I don’t want to take the risk of bringing that much stuff and be responsible if it gets lost or stolen with the checked bag. Or if the bag gets lost. I had 50 pounds and probably $10,000 USD worth of stuff. LOL.

I will probably do it for people that are an active member of this forum and been on the forum at least 1 year.

There are services like Grabr that'll do it as well, if you don't know someone who is already coming down. There's also TiendaMia and Amazon, but for the latter two you'll need to have your DNI.

I don't blame you one bit for that one. I think I mentioned it on Sunday, about when my wife and I went to the US for Thanksgiving, but we took empty bags on the way out, and then brought back both of our bags filled to the brim. Checked bags were 22.9 and 22.6kg respectively, our backpacks were both over 10kg and our carryons were around 17-18 kg each. (Yay compression bags, ow my back)

I'm hoping Milei continues slashing import (and other) taxes so the whole mule thing can go away.

Yes, I’ll do it for people that have been posting on the forum for a while and always do it for friends but I got 15 DM’s to bring stuff down! 15!

Thank you Mike for bringing all my things. I didn’t realize you were bringing such a large shipment. My budget does not allow for me to buy them here and some of them they don’t sell it. Much appreciated. I am sorry we could not meet. You were in a meeting. I stopped by your office to say hello but they said you were in a big meeting. I got my things. Thank you.

iPod? Wow. Didn’t know anyone was still using that. Why not just use your iPhone? Any advantage to using an iPod still?

I remember those days. I go back and forth to the USA each year and each time I would get asked by friends/family. I did it until one time when a bag got broken into at EZE and contents were taken. Needless to say I stopped after that as the people expected me to buy them new items.

I have a fair bit of music in lossless format that isn't available on streaming services, it works without cell signal or WiFi, it has a better quality DAC chip and it's a lot less distracting.

I've restricted my iPhone to only navigation and banking apps, at this point. For everything else, I carry a flip phone, since it's resistant to chorros and doomscrolling.

I still use an iPod too! Great quality. I thought I was the only one!
