Economy Goodbye to Traffic Camera Fines?

A bill was introduced to eliminate speeding cameras, they're just a tool for collecting money, another scam that could finally end. I hope the proposal gets approved.

I always hate these traffic cameras. I got a very expensive red light ticket once and hate these things.

Were you wrongly accused by the cameras? Do people frequently get a fine when they are actually not speeding or when the light is not red? Traffic safety is already a very problematic issue here, especially when you are a pedestrian without the protection of a car around you and airbags lol.

So I don't understand how giving a free pass to those going through red lights or speeding is a positive step. They could improve the system if there's something wrong with it.

Drivers are terrible here! People are only getting fines when they are breaking the law. I have had a few close calls too @dai at crosswalks when they ran a red light.

No, I admit I did run a red light. I can't argue there. I just turned right on red and there were no cars coming. I didn't see the small sign that said, I couldn't turn on red. It seems like they just put that sign there to make $$$. It is deceptive to me.

I agree the pedestrians are at risk of bad drivers but I don't like speed traps in certain places where there are no pedestrians at all.
