Globant confirms office closures in Argentina: mass layoffs reported

Companies in Argentina are laying off workers left and right. Globant just closed two of their offices in Argentina. I know other people that work at American based companies that were hired in Buenos Aires and they shut down their entire local teams. Salaries are too high in Argentina and they can probably just hire in neighboring countries.

Many companies are downsizing. I don't think this specifically related to anything Milei related. If anything Artificial intelligence is what is causing Globant and others to stumble. More and more companies will downsize as they don't need tons of employees anymore.

Even big Silicon Valley companies are downsizing as they don't need many employees. Argentines are not efficient. My friend works at Globant and he said the pay is piss poor there. Many either are quitting or hoping to get fired so they get a settlement. They have a bad reputation.
