  • The president received the Salamanca School distinction, awarded by a liberal association.
  • He promised multi-million dollar tax cuts and the closure of the Central Bank.
To a packed house, Milei expressed his gratitude for the award by reviewing his economic plan and the situation in Argentina when he took office: " We were naked, showered, and sitting in the electric chair . And many were eager to plug it in," he explained, bringing smiles to the audience.

Hopefully he finishes out his term strong and then gets another 4 years. I hope Peronism is dead. It gives me extreme satisfaction to see Cristina condemned. The party is in pieces. Great to see.

This is terrible. I still think that people will come to their senses before the October mid-terms. Things are more expensive than ever!

What a waste of taxpayer money flying to Spain to accept another fake award. I doubt Spain even knows how tough things are now. Prices here are more expensive than Spain to go out to dinner. My cousins who came here from Spain tell me prices are out of reach for a nice meal out. Far more than in Spain. So people that don't even live in Argentina or know the struggles of Argentines giving out bogus awards seems silly to me.

Makes me sick. I wonder how much they spent flying to Spain to accept this?
