Does it still make sense to retire in Buenos Aires on fixed income?

I just arrived and wow have prices gone up at some places since I was last here. Still easy to get an Airbnb cheap but lots of stuff is double what I was paying. Uber rides seemed almost free but easy to rack up bills going around now. Still cheap compared to the US.

I am seeing a lot more homeless all over.
Uber prices doubled from last year in BA but it sounds like a few different cities are very low. A friend in Rosario told me that she pays really little for Uber. Here they aren't too cheap anymore. Also wait times are longer. It seems like now they always try to upsell me to Comfort claiming it will be faster. I am waiting double as before so I'm not sure if that means there are less drivers.

In Rosario they are striking to get higher wages.

Everything outside of Buenos Aires with the exception of Bariloche is much cheaper than Buenos Aires. Costs here are much higher in CABA.
