It is a tourist town in the District of Luján in the Province of Buenos Aires. It is located 75 km from the city of Buenos Aires and 16 km from the city of Luján. Carlos Keen has approximately 500 inhabitants. It owes its name to Dr. Carlos Keen, lawyer and journalist, born in Las Flores in 1840, who participated with the rank of lieutenant colonel in the War of the Triple Alliance and was seriously wounded in the battle of Pehuajó. Besides being a quiet place to spend a few days in the countryside, Carlos Keen is a great gastronomic pole. Only 88 kilometers from the city of Buenos Aires, its main attraction are the country restaurants.

Some places to visit are: the Granero de la Estación, the San Carlos de Borromeo Chapel, the Rural Museum, Mirador al Sur, Fundación Camino Abierto and the Old Post Office.
