The quarterly index carried out since 2009 by RI shows the strong increases that occurred throughout the 2023 section, reaching up to 400%. New statistical panel.
The last survey of values at the beginning of February again showed a strong increase since it includes the period before the DNU that repeals the Rental Law.
Inflation for the period analyzed (February 2023 VS February 2024) was 254.15%; while standard quality used apartments offered for rent in the same period showed an increase of 341.4% on average for one-bedroom units and 400.19% for 2-bedroom units.
The citywide median value for used 2-bedroom apartments in February 2024 was $278,433, while 3-bedroom units were listed above $381,000. As we said more than three years ago in our reports, “beyond the average public offers for standard units, if you are looking for a unit in good condition, the values far exceed these figures.”
