The sushi is amazing here but it' also very expensive too.The reviews were totally correct. I had some bad sushi at several places but came here for sushi and was amazed! Very good. Was worth the money.
100%. Service is always fantastic. It's one of the few places were service goes over the top each and every time. They have good management team in place. They take pride in the quality of the sushi. Yeah it is expensive but really one of 4 or 5 places with good sushi in BA. Every time my friends come in town they want to come here and no one is ever disappointed.I’m officially also on team Osaka. It’s absolutely fantastic, service is on point and I haven’t had anything close in BA. 10/10.
I can confirm the sushi here is very very good. We came last night. Very fresh and delicious. We tried some Rappi sushi and we literally had to throw it away as it didn't taste good. We visited the Osaka in Lima and this was every bit as good. But as others mentioned, for BA it was expensive but cheaper than what we spend in the States for good sushi.I discovered them in Bogota, they have branches in several countries. One of the best Sushi's I've ever tried. View attachment 4089
De nada. Also check out Lima Estilo Nikkei in Recoleta. They also have amazing sushi. These are the only two restaurants in BA with really fabulous sushi. Both are expensive but worth it. I put a review of Lima a while ago. Thanks for this detailed review. I came here based on your post. Very good sushi but so far this is the only good sushi. I have tried a few and they were terrible! It's hard to believe that a city of this size doesn't have better sushi places. What gives? Why are the seafood places so bad there?
I agree. Good sushi and wagyu is going to be expensive in any nice place. However, that water price is just crazy. I wonder how much the alcohol drinks and cocktails are if water is that expensive!A 100 bucks per person with Wagyu + Sushi is ok for a top notch restaurant. This is not an average sushi local restaurant, they have multiple branches around the globe. I'll check the prices on their Bogotá branch, the rolls are cheaper (around 10 / 15 bucks) but probably the meat is more expensive.
Wow do you spend a lot of money dining out. Looks good.Supporting the Buenos Aires Economy Dining out 3 times a day
So I had another great meal at Osaka. Not the cheapest but one of my favorite restaurants in Buenos Aires. I took a client out to dinner with his teenage daughter. We ate sushi and wagyu beef until we burst. 333,900 pesos plus tip. ($280 USD+ generous tip) with NO alcohol. Trying to save the BA restaurant scene one meal at a time.
The 9,800 pesos for bottled water is a bit ridiculous! Ha, ha.

Completely agree with you @enbits. You are going to spend a lot on premium sushi places in any major city in the world. Not cheap by any means here. The water was a rip off and we got 3 bottles I think.A 100 bucks per person with Wagyu + Sushi is ok for a top notch restaurant. Guilty as charged. With 3 kids you don't want to know our dining out and grocery bills. My wife is makes a Costco run weekly and that is about $800 per week. Then she goes to Whole Foods and Trader Joes I'd say weekly as well. And here and there daily some stuff that she only buys fresh. My kids eat like horses as they are in sports. So needless to say what we spend on food alone is probably more than some people earn per month. But we like eating well.Wow do you spend a lot of money dining out. Looks good.
Life in the US for sure. Although that Costco bill looks suspiciously high, Mike are you sure your wife isn't buying a few those gold bars behind your back? 🙂Guilty as charged. I came to Osaka with Mike a few times. I loved that place! I hope to come back. It was expensive but don't remember waters being that much. But then again Mike paid the bill! 🤣 So maybe they were.Supporting the Buenos Aires Economy Dining out 3 times a day

Funny Craig! I know Mike's wife. We do couple's date nights all the time. If you go to his house you will see that his kids are always eating. Open his pantry or refrigerator and you will see every fruit and vegetable known to man. That's right. Costco does sell gold. My wife is always in Costco too but we don't spend that much now that my boy's are both in college. Only one daughter left at home. Almost empty nesters.Life in the US for sure. You know Craig I said the same thing. I detest going to Costco and refuse to go as I hate long lines. That's about the worst thing for me that I can think of is going to Costco where they are always changing the location of things and force you to hunt around. I also told her how can we spend so much and once in a while I will audit the receipt! No gold coins.. Ha. Ha.Life in the US for sure. LOL. Yes Johnny we will have to go back to Osaka. I'll take you to some new ones too. I can't wait for our trip!I came to Osaka with Mike a few times. I loved that place! I hope to come back. Wow! That is a lot to spend on food. Costco no less. But I they sell a lot of stuff there. I went with my sister to Costco. I never went to one because I did not have kids when I lived in the US. I couldn't believe how much stuff they sold. I ended up buying a lot of things and none were food. They have good prices there. I loaded up on vitamins as they are so expensive in BA.Completely agree with you @enbits. You are going to spend a lot on premium sushi places in any major city in the world.
