Given that even immigration attorneys are interpreting it the way I did... It ain't looking good right now. I don't necessarily think the courts will uphold that part, because it is unreasonable, but I think the guidelines are going to tighten.
As I mentioned already, this is really going to piss off a lot of the folks who, in reality, are the kind of immigrants Argentina needs.
edit: The language in the government's official press release isn't quite as strong as what was said in the press conference, so there's hope, but I'm waiting to see how they define residing continuously.
