Milei just seems like he is imploding. Every day I read something crazier than before. You nailed it Larry. I also saw the writing on the wall when we decided to leave Argentina.

It is incredibly alarming. What we are watching is blatant censorship and a direct trampling of democratic institutions.

What is even more exhausting is the broader global reality right now: the feeling that we are constantly forced to choose between two toxic extremes. It seems the only options presented are far-right nationalism fueled by division, or far-left socialism consumed by over-regulation.

What happened to the pragmatic middle ground? It shouldn’t be a radical concept to want sensible, free-market capitalism without the racism, classism, homophobia, and hatred of the hard right—while simultaneously rejecting the suffocating taxation and excessive regulations of the hard left. Economic freedom and social tolerance should be able to coexist.

Regarding Milei specifically, one of the most worrying side effects is the cultural shift. It is deeply concerning to watch his aggressive, hostile rhetoric become normalized, with an entire generation of young people eagerly following his lead and amplifying that hatred on social media.

its suprising to me to watch democacy within a republic voting system become more of the same. in the usa if you want indepent when you get to washington in either the house or senate you have no party standing. you have to choose between democrat or republican. go figure. its one of the reasons nothing changes amd i believe a world democracy problem

What in the actual heck. I saw some news about him in Israel. I get that he wants to stay close to Trump but flying Israel flags in Argentina.

If Cristina or the Left did this they would be slammed. I have to agree Milei has his tin foil hat on. Nothing good can come with some of these extreme actions. He is getting torn in the press here.
