The article sums up well what many in economic and political circles are starting to say out loud: this model is not sustainable. The combination of a strong peso, high inflation, and deep recession can't hold much longer. The middle class is being wiped out, and there's no real plan to create formal jobs. The "every man for himself" mentality is everywhere. I wouldn’t be surprised if Milei’s popularity starts collapsing soon.

I've lived in Buenos Aires for eight years now and honestly, I’ve never seen this much polarization. The article reflects how split the elites are, but I think it underplays how exhausted the general public is. Many people didn’t vote for Milei because they believed in him, they just didn’t believe in anyone else. If this government collapses or loses steam, I don’t even know what comes next. The alternatives aren’t exactly inspiring.

I think you were right Larry. From the beginning you called out the fraud. I don't think Milei is doing everything wrong. But for sure once he tried to scam people with Libra it showed the beginning of the end. If things were going so right he wouldn't have tried that scam.

I feel it turning too. A few friends think things aren't sustainable now.

People are finally admitting to me that they were wrong. Sweet sweet justice to hear this. I told people from the beginning Milei was a fraud. Now people are admitting it.

I have to admit. You called this a long time ago. I like many of the changes. It is cheaper and easier to get things here. I wonder what happens to the local companies?

I follow them. But more importantly, I have read posts on the old forum for 14 years. Anyone that has had this much success in Argentina with several different Presidents from different political parties knows what they are doing.
